Italian designer Daniel Del Core’s eponymous label barely celebrated its fourth anniversary when it unveiled its new Madison Avenue flagship: a way to tell the fashion world “I’ve arrived.” Since its inception in 2020, Del Core has created custom looks for icons such as Adele, Beyoncé and two famous Florences (Welch and Pugh).
This year, the luxury label has gotten bigger. She wowed at the Met Gala in a petal pink dream dress for Eiza González and created custom couture for Quantico star Priyanka Chopra, who attended a Bulgari event in Milan rocking a precious Serpenti necklace, while out comes Core with his shoulders. the design unfolded effortlessly down her back.
The brand showcased three of its latest fashion moments, wearing Bridgerton babe Simone Ashley, Cannes 2024 jury member Eva Green and the ever-glamorous Sharon Stone in three dresses from the brand’s Fall 2024 Lissom collection.
With a range of styles behind him, it’s clear that Daniel Del Core is something of a fashion chameleon – and he likes it that way.
His clothes are suitable for daytime luxury and dark romantic evenings. But in Del Core’s various designs, there’s an ever-present penchant for nature-inspired motifs (Gonzales’ dress was inspired by the Mexican vanilla orchid) and a “fantasy of mutant glamor,” traceable to the smallest touches of deceptively simple styles.
With its new 2024 Cruise Collection – also known as the “Abstract 5” – Del Core’s brand identity continues to take shape. The Abstract Collections are about invention through reduction, where “forms are relaxed and deconstructed”, this time with “a renewed emphasis on the shoulders”. In 27 looks, Del Core plays with simplicity: light and bare materials in pastel colors are paired with loose and sleek clothing.
if all of this piques your interest, you certainly wouldn’t be the first.
From runway-ready pieces for Taraji P. Henson and Julianne Hough to indulgent luxury for Rachel McAdams and Demi Moore, celebrities have been slipping into Del Core throughout 2024. Now, we present some of Del Core’s most covetable moments celeb-approved — and all the links you need to get the look.
“The Substance” star Demi Moore was poised and perfect while promoting her new film at the 77th Cannes International Film Festival. The actress shaded it by adding a pair of oversized black sunglasses.
The fact that Benedetta Porcaroli starred in a movie called “Immaculate” has never looked more appropriate – in a bright red, brick jumpsuit made of 100% virgin wool, the Italian actress looked bellissima. She teamed the look with one of Del Core’s iconic floral leather belts.
The secret’s out: we’re obsessed with Anya Taylor-Joy’s style. At an event for Tiffany, for which she is a brand ambassador, the actress slipped into a white peplum number by Del Core.
“Empire” actress Taraji P. Henson took the carpet by storm at the 2024 NAACP Image Awards. Henson was in full bloom wearing another example of Del Core’s favorite orchid styles.
Longtime fan of the brand Julianne Hough was rocking her best dress at Elton John’s 2024 Oscars After Party in March. Sporting a sleek viscose number and bejeweled bodice, the Safe Haven actress was a Del Core dream.
Tony nominee Rachel McAdams (“Mary Jane”) looked extremely sophisticated attending the 90th Annual Drama League Awards in May. A sleeveless tailored suit with a plunging neckline? Mark it in your Notepad to check later.
